In the earlier version of the Fieldclix application, employees needed to manually make ‘Daily Percent Completion Estimation’ for the job.
Now, in most cases, we can automatically determine how much time an employee spent on the site, and accordingly allocate his or her working time between WOs.
An employee’s working day starts differently and depends on his/her role.

Find WO Number (#)
Begin by finding your WO# in your New Work Order Notification txt, email or chat message like usual.
This screenshot shows a chat example:
Login & Open the Time Keeping Module
Clock In
From that point forward, the application tracks your location. This is necessary in order to evaluate your working time and associate hours that you spent on site with WOs.
In some cases, your location may not be available as a result of disabled GPS, power saving mode, location permissions for this app on the phone.

Record Manual Lunch if it's allowed
Select WO
For some categories of employees, there is an option to manually select the WO.
Each time you start or stop working on WO you should record this in the mobile app. Start your working day as usual by clocking in via the app.
You will receive a notification from the app as always.
When you stop working on the selected WO, you can begin work on another.
All your time that you didn't record will be assigned to geo-fence WO or you will be prompted to allocate this time on the next day.
Clock out
Adjust Clock Out Time
There is an option to adjust clock-out time in the FCX app. This can be helpful if you forgot to clock out on time.
Open the Time Keeping Module. Tap the Clock-Out button once to adjust clock-out time. Double tap is prompted you to clock out as usual.
Clock Out cannot be earlier than Clock In. And adjusted time cannot be in the future.
Clock Out Reminder
The mobile app will remind you 10 minutes before:
- The end of the current day (12 am). If overnight is not allowed.
- The "Clock Out Before" time in the employee's TK Configuration card.
- The maximum number of total clock-in hours is exceeded. This is the configurable setting, usually = 23 hours.
Check In
Get started with 'check in' on your mobile device in FCX application. Salaried employee only once notes their workday start. The system automatically allocates your total time per day between WOs or offers to do it manually on the next day.
Send TK Request (TAR, Time Off, etc.)
Visit the article to learn about how to send a TK request in the mobile app.
Allocate your time
There are occasions where we cannot associate your location with WOs for the following reasons:
- non-geofence WOs
- multiple WOs per site
You should manually allocate your time as a percentage between WOs.
You will be prompted for manual allocation, if:
- You are assigned to the employee role "Requires WO allocation" .
- There are actual hours that haven't been assigned to a Work Order.
- A TAR is not pending review.
- The day has not been entered as Time-Off by the TK Administrator.
The list of available Work Orders includes:
- All active Work Orders allowed for manual allocation (appropriate checkbox is active in the WO Type) and scheduled for the selected day + WOs with the same WO type abbreviation as scheduled.
- For an Employee with the Non-Dispatch Role, all active Shadow Work Orders (Allow Dispatch checkbox is NO in the WO Type card) + also allowed for manual allocation, if the Employee is set in a Build Plan:
- as a Build Plan Owner
- as a Project Role Member
- as an allowed time allocation Employee
Watch a video of how to manually allocate time among Work Orders.
Time Allocation Summary
There are other ways to open the Time Card allocation details:
- On the Time Allocation screen, tap the date to view the allocation in detail.
- Open Time Card Calendar → select a day.
