Allow Admin to Delete Time Entries Via Constant

Time Entries are sensitive original records of GPS and TK data that are best preserved as a history for compliance.

That said, Testing and Demos can produce TEs which add false hours to reports, dashboards and exports.

Unlike most Objects in the system, Time Entry deletion is NOT possible EVEN for an Administrator, UNLESS a special configuration is applied.

To allow TE deletion, do the following:

  • Access "Constants" via Quick Launch.
  • Note that Constants are not in a Reference, but a separate Object indicated by its unique symbol.

  • Activate Quick Filter and search for " TKAllowDeleteTE".

  • Open the card. Follow the guide in the Comment box and enter an Boolean value in the Value field (“True” of “False”)

  • Save and Close after making your changes. The changes may not be apparent until the next time you login after server refresh.
  • You can tell the change was applied because you will now be allowed to delete TEs.
