Project Scenarios Reference

Scenario — largest piece of a Project hierarchy (after the Project Template itself) that describes a particular situation, that might be encountered during field service work, and how work performers should deal with it.

Project Scenarios allow the specification of future Build Plans, Work Orders settings.







How to create a Scenario?

1. Open “Project Scenarios” reference and create a new scenario.


2. Fill out:

all required items:

  • Name
  • Code — Scenario abbreviation
  • Project — select a Project

additional fields:

  1. Task List — select Build Plan Task List, which will be applied to all Build Plans of the certain Project Scenario.
  2. WO Type for Unscheduled Visit — select a WO Type to fill a WO of that type created during GBP as a WO unscheduled visit in a Build Plan card. Use the “Update BPs for Unscheduled Visit” action on the top bar to fill in a WO of the selected type as WO for unscheduled visit in active or manually selected BPs.
  3. Planned Days on Site — to plan how many days the work will be carried out on each of Build Plan. Planned Days are displayed in Build Plan Milestones and Daily Status of a Build Plan.
  4. Prevailing Wage by default — to mark future Work Orders for a selected Scenario as Prevailing Wage job. Dispatches created for PW WO are also marked as PW.
  5. Is Overhead — to create Project Overhead BPs on a selected Scenario.
  6. Auto create ob Build Plan generation:
    • Sales Order Template — to create a Sales Order of a specified template on BP generation.
    • Budget Template — to create a Budget of a determined template on BP generation.
    • BOM Template — to create a Bill of Material of a specified template on BP generation.
  7.   Description — to add some description of Scenario.
  8. Roles Table — to specify members of Project Roles to reflect to Build Plan.
  9. Milestones Table — to specify the list of milestones to add to the corresponding Build Plans. Read about Milestones in Scenario here.


3. Specify default Roles for the BPs generated for the Scenario.







Update Roles in created Build Plans

In the top bar of the Scenario card, find the options and choose how you want to adjust the Build Plan Roles: update the set of BP roles or change the assignment.
