When we apply Reasons to Time Cards we might be tempted to expect them to immediately populate hours to the Time Card...
But hours added to TCs immediately hit financials and this can skew current numbers if they are being influenced by records from the future.
For this reason, Reasons populate TC Payroll Allocation Tables only on and after the date in question.
How it works:
- Each morning FCX checks for empty TCs with Reasons
- FCX checks if Reason prescribes hrs (unpaid Reasons have 0 hrs)
- FCX populates any Reason hrs to Payroll Allocation Table. The hrs are added with:
- Hrs qty from Reason card
- The Cost Type from the Reason card
- Wage Type per week calculations (but Reasons are usually excluded from OT calcs via checkbox on Reason card)
- WO set as default "Non-Work" WO in Constants
If for some reason you want to apply a Reason early to a future TC, you can force-recalculate the Payroll Allocation Table to apply it.
Here's how:
NOTE 1 Reasons can add hrs to the Payroll Allocation Table, but NOT to Time Entries! TEs are only auto-created via Mobile App actions. |
NOTE 2 If for some reason an Employee Clocks-In on the Time-Off day, their clocked hours will simply be added to the Reason hrs. TKAs can manually remove hrs before payroll if desired. |
