New Dispatch Features Are Here
Dear Fieldclix Customers,
We’ve got exciting updates to share, and this issue is all about Dispatches. From a refreshed Dispatch card to powerful recurring scheduling, these improvements are designed to make your work easier and more intuitive. We’ve also included a few smaller updates that you’ll want to know about.
The Dispatch Card Just Got Better
We've refined the web Dispatch Card to make it even easier to use:
Larger layout for better visibility
User-friendly dropdowns for faster selections
Convenient, autosized Comments field that grows as you type
Recurring Dispatches
Need to schedule dispatches on a regular basis? Now you can create recurring dispatches based on your rules and planning.
Easily schedule repeated work based on a set pattern, such as daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly.
You can create a series once and then manage it as needed by updating, extending, or ending the recurrence without rebuilding each dispatch from scratch.
We’ve also added a few smaller improvements that make a big difference in everyday work.
Improved Build Plan Generation (GBP)
We’ve added two great new fields to the New Build Plan card:
Default ERP# — quickly define the default ERP number for the Build Plan.
Custom Number — create a Build Plan number manually instead of using auto-numbering. This option is available to employees with the Can Use Custom BP Name role.
Note: To enter a custom Build Plan name, click the Lock icon in the Build Plan Name field. The Lock icon is visible to employees with the Can Use Custom BP Name role.
We’ve also expanded the Build Plans dashboard with new columns:
Default ERP#
Build Plans Roles — a handy new group of columns that shows employees assigned to Build Plan roles such as Crew Lead, PM, and more. Each column displays the role performer for a specific Build Plan.
New Employee Role: Can Edit Paid Payroll Data
There’s a new employee role called Can edit Paid Payroll Data. Assign it to a Payroll Administrator so they can modify data in closed and paid payroll periods when needed.
Allow New Requests
We’ve added the Allow New Requests option to the Payroll Period card. This setting controls whether employees can submit new Time Keeping requests, such as TAR or Time-Off requests.
Here’s how it works:
When disabled, employees cannot submit new requests.
This is especially useful once the period closure process begins and no further changes should be made.
A Payroll Period Administrator, or an employee substituting for one, can change this setting.
The option is unavailable for already paid periods.
Multi-Select Sites and Locations Dashboards
And to wrap up, here’s a small but helpful feature already available: multi-select in the Sites and Locations dashboards. It makes it easy to view selected sites or locations on the map and compare geolocations.
