Meet Work Activities

We are excited to introduce the latest feature in our system — Work Activities. Think of Work Activities as a to-do list designed to represent routine tasks during your workday. They are essential for linking recorded hours with specific activities and payroll items, making labor tracking and payroll allocation more accurate and reliable.

How It Works

Toggle this feature on or off to match your company's setup. Here's the flow:

  • Work Order Types include a default activity list. These transfer to linked Work Orders.

  • Edit activities directly on the Work Order card.

  • Log them under the right cost type, often on-site work.

  • At clock-out, GPS spots on-site time and ties it to Work Orders.

  • One activity per Work Order? It assigns automatically.

  • Multiple possible options? No auto-assign—employees on mobile must allocate manually at clock-out.

  • Miss an allocation? Handle it at the next clock-in.

Key Benefits

  • Simplifies management by reducing the number of Work Order Types.

  • Eliminates the need for multiple dispatches in one day.

Time Adjustment Requests

When activities are on, Time Adjustment Requests (TARs) get a boost too. Employees enter clock-in and clock-out times as before. They also add on-site, office/warehouse, or lunch breaks. Assign each to the right Work Order and activity for spot-on records. It's like giving TARs a precision upgrade—now they capture the full picture, not just the basics.

Fix Forgotten Clock-Ins

Forgetting to clock in at the shift's beginning? It happens to the best of us. Now, with this update, you can correct it in seconds.

Set It Up

Enable the feature for your employees, then let them handle adjustments. Assign the "Mobile: Allow Clock-In Adjustments" role to employees.

Adjust Your Clock-In

Clocking in? Follow these steps in the mobile app to set things right:

  • Enter the actual start time of your shift.

  • Add a comment with details for the reviewer—keep it clear and concise.

  • Tap clock in.

Your shift logs from the time you specify.

A Quick Note on GPS

The gap between your real start and the adjustment won't include GPS data. That's because tracking begins only when you tap clock in, not from the edited time. It keeps things accurate.

This adjust clock-in feature serves as a convenient alternative to Time Adjustment Requests (TARs).

Edit Time Cards Like Never Before

The next thing that will please you is that the Time Card Payroll Allocation is now editable directly in the web portal. Many of us have long wished for this feature, and now it is finally available.

You can easily make changes to the payroll allocation on the Time Card. Update Wage allocations:

  • Add or modify hours.

  • Assign hours to specific Work Orders.

  • Reorder rows in the table.

  • Mark hours as prevailing wage.

  • Handle other updates as needed.

If needed, the Reset option allows you to undo all manual changes and restore the original payroll allocation based on GPS data or any applied adjustments.

The Non-Wage table is also editable. You can add new rows, delete existing ones, change payroll items, or adjust quantities with ease.

Have a Lite day!
