Guess what? We’ve been cooking up some great updates over the last two months, and we’re excited to share them with you.
Whether it’s a revamped mobile app, under-the-radar features you might’ve missed, or brand-new tools (looking at you, financial periods and tax codes)—we’ve got the scoop.
Ready to see what’s new? Let’s go!
What's new in the Mobile App
With the last update, we’ve fully migrated to Expo libraries, streamlining our development process and making improvements in UI design, navigation, data management, and more. As a result, you’ll get a faster, more intuitive, and robust experience on your mobile device.
Here are some of the exciting improvements you may note in the update app:
Refined GPS Sync: Faster uploads to the server with reduced mobile data usage.
Clock-In Warnings: Clear notifications to indicate issues with your phone's configuration, such as GPS permissions being revoked or location services being disabled.
Location Tracking Module refactored to be able to start Location Tracking offline while an employee is clocked-in and to make app more stable.
The Delete Lunch button has been relocated to the top of the interface for improved usability.
Improved Update Management: Updates now download and install in the background. You can also view the installation date on your profile and manually force the latest update if needed.
Bug Fixes: UI issues have been resolved, including a fix for large-screen iPhones.
Show character limit in the Comment fields: This clearly displays the maximum text length allowed. Examples of such fields include: Time Card Comment, WO Daily Comment, Checklist Item Comment, etc.
Employee Certificates: a quick way to access to your list of certificates and documents attached to them. Learn more here.
Financial Periods
We’re also excited to introduce Financial Periods—a structured way to track and manage your company’s financial performance over defined timeframes.
Financial Periods streamline compliance, improve reporting consistency, and safeguard your financial data.
Key Features:
Monthly Accounting Cycles
Financial Periods in Fieldclix align with calendar months, simplifying periodic reporting.
Period-End Closing
Close periods to lock financial data, ensuring accuracy and audit integrity.
Once closed, modifications to records (e.g., time cards, invoices, COD purchases, budget dates, or financial distributions) are restricted.
Thus, WIP numbers do not change from month to month.
Flexible Reopening
Need corrections? Reopen periods (in reverse order) to adjust transactions while maintaining control.
The next update is the Tax Codes feature, designed to simplify payroll tax compliance and ensure accurate labor cost allocation.
This fully configurable solution can be enabled or disabled to match your business needs.
Key Benefits:
Automated Compliance
Tax codes are dynamically applied based on both scheduled and actual work Sites
Site-Based Accuracy
Hours logged at job Sites automatically inherit the Site's assigned tax code
Consistent Treatment
Non-site work (office/admin time) uses each employee's static tax code.

Mobile Diagnostics Information
We have restored the iOS and Android icons on the Live Map and Time Card interface to indicate the device’s operating system. You can also view general device details, such as the device brand, OS version, and extended information like the device ID, GPS status, and tracking/collection point indicators.
For employees with the Advanced TK User role, additional advanced mobile diagnostics are available directly on the Live Map.
Improved Arrival & Departure Notifications
We’ve redesigned the arrival and departure notifications for scheduled Sites to ensure accurate tracking.
When an employee arrives at a scheduled Site (a Site with an assigned Dispatch), the system automatically detects their location and sends an email and/or Telegram notification (if configured).
The same applies when an employee departs from the Site.
Note: A clock-out is always registered as a departure if the employee was at the Site when clocking out.
Where to View Arrival/Departure Times
To check employee site attendance, go to the Dispatch Calendar Day view, which displays arrival and departure times for scheduled Sites.
Week Calendar: Clock-In Status
We’ve upgraded the Week view in the Dispatch Calendar to help you track employee clock-ins at a glance. Now, you’ll see:
Green dot: Employee is currently clocked in.
Red dot: Appears for past days if no clock-in was recorded.
Simple, visual, and always up to date!
Attach a Document to Work Order
We’ve enhanced the New Document option in the Build Plan by adding the ability to attach a Work Order document. This new feature makes it easy to attach documents for specific Work Orders and share them seamlessly with your team.
Access the Build Plan Documents from the Build Plan card and locate the New Documents button. In the window that opens, select Attach to Work Order → Select File(s) → Upload.
We’ve made significant improvements to the Crew Lead Details dashboard by adding date filters and new fields to enhance your reporting experience.
New Fields:
% Current Completion Estimate: This shows the current BP (Build Plan) completion estimate percentage, sourced from the “Progress %” field in a Build Plan card.
Delta % Completion Estimate: This calculates the difference between the % Completion Estimate at the beginning of the period and the % Completion Estimate at the end of the period.
Date Filters:
The addition of date filters provides you with a powerful tool to customize and narrow down your reports. By selecting a specific date range, you can generate reports for precise timeframes. The date filter impacts a variety of data points, such as:
Hours: Track the number of hours worked or spent within the specified date range.
Delta % Completion Estimate: View how the completion estimate has changed over the selected period.
% of Budget Hours Consumed: Measure the percentage of the budgeted hours used within the filtered dates.
