Exclude a Build Plan from WIP according to Category and Scenario
We have introduced the "Exclude from WIP" option in both the Work Order Category and Scenario. By selecting the "Exclude from WIP" checkbox within these components, you can exclude a related Build Plan from WIP calculations. For example, you may want to completely exclude Build Plans that would not normally have a budget such as Maintenance work or work of a Time and Material nature.
How it works: When a Build Plan is generated, the system checks if the Project, Scenario, or Category associated with the Build Plan is marked for exclusion from WIP. If any of these specify exclusion, the system will flag the Build Plan as "Excluded from WIP."
Please note that updating the Scenario or Category in the Build Plan card only selects the checkbox for exclusion; it does not remove the exclusion status.
Material Items
There are new fields in the Material Item card: Tag # and Assembly #.
Use the Tag # as a unique identifier assigned to each individual Material Item (MI).
Use the Assembly # to track associated items, which may consist of multiple MIs.
BOM and Add Material Items option — The list of displayed Material Items now also includes items that are not associated with a Build Plan.
GBP — Generate Build Plan
We’ve added a new section to the Build Plan Request card that provides hints and reminders. These hints can be customized for each client based on your specific activities.
Additionally, we have revised the mandatory fields that need to be filled in when generating a new Build Plan: made it more custom. Now, the mandatory filling of the Class field is regulated by the system settings. Earlier we did it for the Category field.
Other Changes
Payroll Periods Dashboard — The Payroll Cost is summarized the group of columns that includes Wage, Non-Wage, Overhead, and Total for all.
The P&L dashboard now supports new dimensions for financial reporting to include a Parent Class, Crew Lead, or Customer Job. If you need further customization, feel free to reach out to us, and we can tailor the P&L dashboard to include these new dimensions.
That’s a wrap for today! Thanks for reading, and we’ll catch you in the next newsletter.
